Candle Care

Candles require care for safety reasons and we wanted to make you a handy guide so you have all the info needed for your brand new home fragrance!

  • Wicks

We use high quality cotton wicks for our candles. These ensure the burn pool will reach the jar for an even burn. They are also easy to maintain as you simply trim the wick to 5mm before you burn each time to avoid smoking and damage to the glass.

  • Burn memory and tunneling

Have you ever lit your candle and blown it out to leave an indent in your candle and lots of wax left on the sides? This is called Tunneling! Candles will only burn out to where it was first blown out; This is why we say for the first burn let the wax pool to the edges of the glass so then the burn memory will always burn to the edge and not waste your wax!

  • Safety

Don't burn candles for more than 4 hours at a time and NEVER leave a lit candle unattended. Only burn candles on a level heat resistant surface and leave 10cm between burning candles. Do not light the candle if there is wick trimmings of foreign objects in it. Always burn out of reach of children and pets to avoid injury. The glassware may become hot whilst lit so avoid touching it. Extinguish when there is 5mm of wax remaining and DO NOT relight.
